ZTE, Samsung, ZyXEL to Supply WiMAX Equipment to Sprint Nextel

Sprint Nextel recently announced details of its WiMAX program, expected to be launched commercially across 19 US cities in April 2008. Equipment suppliers for this program will include ZTE, ZyXEL, and Samsung. ZTE is to supply WiMAX 802.16e devices including PC cards in both ExpressCard and USB form factors, as well as other WiMAX modems. ZyXEL will provide some of the WiMAX modems too, while Samsung will make WiMAX and dual-mode WiMAX-EVDO PC cards.
